Peek A Boo
When we were young, we used to play “Hide and Seek”. We play “Peek A Boo” with babies. However, as we get older, we are less and less interested in not being seen. But the older we get, the more we want to be seen and want to know people see us. The author Amy Bloom says, “Intimacy is being seen and known as the person you truly are.”
The name Jehovah is God’s name when He is in an intimate relationship with us. In this relationship, we seek intimacy. Being seen. Being known. No longer are we interested in people not seeing us.
As we mature we desire intimacy. We desire people to know us, our likes, and our dislikes. We desire relationships with a person who truly sees our heart and cares about our concerns. This is who God is!
God sees us and knows our hurts and pains. He knows what makes us happy and what makes us cry. God offers us an intimate relationship. He loves and is concerned about us. He sees us, knows us, and is here for us. He cries when we hurt and smiles when we are happy. God see us and wants an intimate relationship with us. Do you see Him?
